spk_0 In these last days, the Bible predicts a turning away from biblical truth.
spk_0 In order to combat false teachings that are running rampant and a growing lack of biblical literacy,
spk_0 the whole Israel provides weekly public readings of Scripture to equip you with the pure word of God,
spk_0 read in an international community with interaction and application.
spk_0 Each week we host different guests from all walks of life.
spk_0 Our original readings can be found on our Behold Israel Community channel on YouTube
spk_0 or on our Facebook channel. These are audio versions created to make it convenient for your
spk_0 busy schedule. Now on to our readings.
spk_0 With zero comments. We're going to try that this evening.
spk_0 Not to say that we won't be doing community versions, but I thought, you know, today,
spk_0 let's read the Scripture as is without any commentary.
spk_0 And so with that being said, it'll be a little bit shorter today.
spk_0 We're going to do two chapters one from Job and one from Ephesians.
spk_0 We're going to actually close out Ephesians.
spk_0 But let's pray and we'll do the pure public reading of Scripture method for this evening.
spk_0 Lord bless your word. Speak to us.
spk_0 Adjust our hearts. Adjust our minds.
spk_0 Adjust our actions.
spk_0 And how we respond to those around us.
spk_0 And the key is to respond. Not react.
spk_0 Lest we risk operating in the flesh.
spk_0 So Lord, we will read.
spk_0 We will listen and we will obey.
spk_0 Thank you. Bless this time now in Jesus name. Amen.
spk_0 Amen. So if you were following with us last week, we had a marvelous community time.
spk_0 And now we're going to jump straight in to Job chapter 32.
spk_0 And in Job 32, as we have on the screen there, from the New King James version,
spk_0 we have Elihu's response to Job's friends.
spk_0 So let's take a look.
spk_0 So these three men see Stansoring Job because he was righteous in his own eyes.
spk_0 Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job.
spk_0 His wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.
spk_0 Also against his three friends, his wrath was aroused because they had found no answer
spk_0 and yet had condemned Job.
spk_0 Now because they were older than he, because they were, Elihu had waited to speak to Job.
spk_0 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was aroused.
spk_0 So Elihu, the son of Barachel, the boozeite answered and said,
spk_0 I am young and years and you are very old.
spk_0 Therefore I was afraid and dared not to clear my opinion to you.
spk_0 I said, age should speak and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
spk_0 But there is a spirit in man and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.
spk_0 Great men are not always wise nor do the aged always understand justice.
spk_0 Therefore I say, listen to me.
spk_0 I also will declare my opinion.
spk_0 Indeed, I waited for your words.
spk_0 I listened to your reasonings while you searched out what to say.
spk_0 I paid close attention to you and surely not one of you convinced Job.
spk_0 Or answered his words.
spk_0 Lest you say, we have found wisdom.
spk_0 God will vanquish him, not man.
spk_0 Now he was, he has not directed his words against me.
spk_0 So I will not answer him with your words.
spk_0 They are dismayed and answered no more.
spk_0 Words escape them.
spk_0 And I have waited because they did not speak.
spk_0 Because they stood still and answered no more.
spk_0 I also will answer my part.
spk_0 I too will declare my opinion.
spk_0 For I am full of words.
spk_0 The spirit within me compels me.
spk_0 Indeed, my belly is like wine that has no vent.
spk_0 It is ready to burst like new wine skins.
spk_0 I will speak that I may find relief.
spk_0 I must open my lips and answer.
spk_0 Let me not, I pray, show partiality to anyone.
spk_0 Nor let my flatter, let me flatter any man.
spk_0 For I do not know how to flatter.
spk_0 Else my maker would soon take me away.
spk_0 Now let's go on to Job 33.
spk_0 And we will see what Ellie who has to say.
spk_0 But please, Job, hear my speech and listen to all my words.
spk_0 Now I open my mouth.
spk_0 My tongue speaks in my mouth.
spk_0 My words come from my upright heart.
spk_0 My lips utter pure knowledge.
spk_0 The spirit of God has made me.
spk_0 And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
spk_0 If you can answer me, set your words in order before me.
spk_0 Take your stand today.
spk_0 Truly, I am your spokesman before God.
spk_0 I also have been formed out of the clay.
spk_0 Surely no fear of me will terrify you.
spk_0 Nor will my hand be heavy on you.
spk_0 Surely you have spoken in my hearing.
spk_0 And I have heard the sound of your words saying,
spk_0 I am pure without transgression.
spk_0 I am innocent and there is no iniquity in me.
spk_0 Yet he finds occasions against me.
spk_0 He counts me as his enemy.
spk_0 He puts my feet in the stocks.
spk_0 He watches all my paths.
spk_0 Look in this you are not righteous.
spk_0 I will answer you.
spk_0 For God is greater than man.
spk_0 Why do you contend with him?
spk_0 For he does not give an accounting of any of his words.
spk_0 For God may speak in one way or in another,
spk_0 yet man does not perceive it.
spk_0 In a dream, in a vision of the night,
spk_0 when deep sleep falls upon men,
spk_0 while slumbering on their beds,
spk_0 then he opens the ears of men and seals their instruction.
spk_0 In order to turn man from his deed,
spk_0 and conceal pride from man,
spk_0 he keeps back his soul from the pit,
spk_0 and his life from perishing by the sword.
spk_0 Man is also chastened with pain on his bed,
spk_0 and with strong pain in many of his bones.
spk_0 So that his life abhors bread,
spk_0 and his soul, succulent food,
spk_0 his flesh wastes away from sight,
spk_0 and his bones stick out,
spk_0 which once were not seen.
spk_0 Yes, his soul draws near the pit,
spk_0 and his life to the executioners.
spk_0 If there is a messenger for him,
spk_0 a mediator, one among a thousand,
spk_0 to show man his uprightness,
spk_0 then he is gracious to him and says,
spk_0 deliver him from going down to the pit.
spk_0 I have found a ransom.
spk_0 His flesh shall be young like a child's.
spk_0 He shall return to the days of his youth.
spk_0 He shall pray to God,
spk_0 and he will delight in him.
spk_0 He shall see his face with joy,
spk_0 where he restores to man his righteousness.
spk_0 Then he looks at men and says,
spk_0 I have sinned and perverted what is right,
spk_0 and it did not profit me.
spk_0 He will redeem his soul from going down to the pit,
spk_0 and his life shall see the light.
spk_0 Behold, God works all these things twice.
spk_0 In fact, three times with a man,
spk_0 to bring back his soul from the pit,
spk_0 that he may be enlightened with the light of life.
spk_0 Give ear, Job.
spk_0 Listen to me.
spk_0 Hold your peace, and I will speak.
spk_0 If you have anything to say,
spk_0 answer me. Speak for I desire to justify you.
spk_0 If not, listen to me.
spk_0 Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.
spk_0 And now, chapter 34.
spk_0 He continues,
spk_0 Elohu further answered and said,
spk_0 hear my words, you wise men.
spk_0 Give ear to me, you who have knowledge,
spk_0 for the ear tests words as the palette tastes food.
spk_0 Let us choose justice for ourselves.
spk_0 Let us know among ourselves what is good.
spk_0 For Job has said, I am righteous,
spk_0 but God has taken him away my justice.
spk_0 Should I lie concerning my right?
spk_0 My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.
spk_0 What man is like Job who drinks scorn like water,
spk_0 who goes in company with the workers of iniquity and walks with wicked men?
spk_0 For he has said, it profits a man nothing
spk_0 that he should delight in God.
spk_0 Oh, I'm so tempted to comment.
spk_0 Therefore, listen to me, you men of understanding.
spk_0 Far be it from God to do wickedness,
spk_0 and from the Almighty to commit iniquity.
spk_0 For he repays man according to his work,
spk_0 and makes man to find a reward according to his way.
spk_0 Surely God will never do wickedly,
spk_0 nor will the Almighty pervert justice,
spk_0 who gave him charge over the earth,
spk_0 or who appointed him over the whole world,
spk_0 if he should set his heart on it,
spk_0 if he should gather to himself his spirit and his breath,
spk_0 all flesh would perish together,
spk_0 and man would return to dust.
spk_0 If you have understanding here this,
spk_0 listen to the sound of my words,
spk_0 should one who hates justice govern?
spk_0 Will you condemn him who is most just?
spk_0 Is it fitting to say to a king, you are worthless?
spk_0 And to nobles, you are wicked?
spk_0 Yet he is not partial to princes.
spk_0 Nor does he regard the rich more than the poor.
spk_0 For they are all the work of his hands.
spk_0 In a moment they die, in the middle of the night,
spk_0 the people are shaken and pass away.
spk_0 The mighty are taken away without a hand.
spk_0 For his eyes are on the ways of man,
spk_0 and he sees all his steps.
spk_0 There is no darkness nor shadow of death,
spk_0 where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
spk_0 For he need not further consider a man,
spk_0 that he should go before God, in judgment.
spk_0 He breaks in pieces mighty men with inquiry
spk_0 and sets others in their place.
spk_0 Therefore he knows their works,
spk_0 he overthrows them in the night,
spk_0 and they are crushed.
spk_0 He strikes them as a wicked man,
spk_0 as the wicked men,
spk_0 in the open sight of others,
spk_0 because they turn back from him,
spk_0 and would not consider any of his ways.
spk_0 So that they cause the cry of the poor to come to him,
spk_0 for he hears the cry of the afflicted,
spk_0 when he gives quietness,
spk_0 who then can make trouble.
spk_0 And when he hides his face,
spk_0 who can say to him whether it is against a nation or a man alone,
spk_0 that the hypocrites should not reign,
spk_0 unless the people be ensnared.
spk_0 For has anyone said to God,
spk_0 I have borne chastening,
spk_0 I will offend no more.
spk_0 Teach me what I do not see,
spk_0 if I have done iniquity,
spk_0 I will do no more.
spk_0 Should he repay it according to your terms,
spk_0 just because you disavow it?
spk_0 You must choose and not I,
spk_0 therefore speak what men of understanding say to me,
spk_0 wise men who listen to me.
spk_0 Job speaks without knowledge.
spk_0 His words are without wisdom.
spk_0 O that Job were tried to the utmost,
spk_0 because his answers are like those of wicked men.
spk_0 For he adds rebellion to his sin,
spk_0 he claps his hands among us,
spk_0 and multiplies his words against God.
spk_0 Now we're going to continue Ellie,
spk_0 whose sermon next week.
spk_0 Is it difficult for you to,
spk_0 my friend, you can write in the chat your comments,
spk_0 but I'm trying to keep this pure.
spk_0 So we're going to go now over to Ephesians chapter six,
spk_0 and really just let the word of God
spk_0 do what God wants in all of our hearts.
spk_0 Here we go, Ephesians chapter six.
spk_0 Lord speak to us now with the New Testament,
spk_0 and lightness in Jesus name.
spk_0 Children, obey your parents in the Lord,
spk_0 for this is right.
spk_0 Honor your father and mother,
spk_0 which is the first commandment with promise,
spk_0 that it may be well with you,
spk_0 and you may live long on the earth.
spk_0 And you fathers do not provoke your children to wrath,
spk_0 but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
spk_0 Bond servants,
spk_0 be obedient to those who are your masters,
spk_0 according to the flesh,
spk_0 with fear and trembling,
spk_0 in sincerity of heart as to Christ.
spk_0 Not with eye service as men pleasers,
spk_0 but as Bond servants of Christ,
spk_0 doing the will of God from the heart,
spk_0 with goodwill doing service as to the Lord and not to men.
spk_0 Knowing that whatever good anyone does,
spk_0 he will receive the same from the Lord,
spk_0 whether he is a slave or free.
spk_0 And you, masters, do the same things to them,
spk_0 giving up threatening,
spk_0 knowing that your own master also is in heaven,
spk_0 and there's no partiality with him.
spk_0 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord,
spk_0 and in the power of his might,
spk_0 put on the full armor of God,
spk_0 that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil,
spk_0 for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
spk_0 but against principalities,
spk_0 against powers,
spk_0 against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
spk_0 against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
spk_0 Therefore, take up the whole armor of God,
spk_0 that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
spk_0 and having done all to stand.
spk_0 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth,
spk_0 having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
spk_0 and having shot your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace,
spk_0 above all,
spk_0 taking the shield of faith,
spk_0 with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts
spk_0 of the wicked one.
spk_0 And take up the helmet of salvation in the sword of the spirit,
spk_0 which is the word of God,
spk_0 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit,
spk_0 being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
spk_0 And for me, that utterance may be given to me,
spk_0 that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,
spk_0 for which I am an ambassador in chains,
spk_0 that in it I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.
spk_0 But that you also may know my affairs and how I'm doing,
spk_0 Ticchius, a beloved brother, a faithful minister in the Lord,
spk_0 will make all things known to you,
spk_0 whom I have sent to you for this very purpose,
spk_0 that you may know our affairs,
spk_0 and that he may comfort your hearts.
spk_0 Peace to the brethren and love with faith,
spk_0 from God, the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ,
spk_0 grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.
spk_0 Amen.
spk_0 So pure PRS, we will go back to the community version next week.
spk_0 But what did you think?
spk_0 All we did was just set back and listen to the word of God.
spk_0 You have the chats open.
spk_0 You can express yourself.
spk_0 You can issue prayer requests.
spk_0 You can pray for one another.
spk_0 I just thought somebody once challenged me recently
spk_0 that you can get through the entire audio version of the Bible.
spk_0 If you set the speed at the correct and comfortable level,
spk_0 and you can do it less than a year.
spk_0 Yeah.
spk_0 And so for the future, isn't it cool to be able to read through the entire Bible
spk_0 or listen to it within a year?
spk_0 Imagine that much of the word of God permeating our mind in our hearts.
spk_0 That's why we do PRS is to continually let
spk_0 the scriptures dictate how we think and what we do.
spk_0 And so with that being said, my friends,
spk_0 next week we'll open up a new Testament book
spk_0 and continue our journey through Job.
spk_0 And right now, I think it's appropriate to do the
spk_0 Aaronic blessing as we close.
spk_0 And you notice that it was only 22 minutes for our reading.
spk_0 But we'll get back to the community next week.
spk_0 Thank you Lord.
spk_0 Thank you Lord.
spk_0 And we've finished the word.
spk_0 Continually drive our hearts towards you
spk_0 so that we may know true peace
spk_0 in this life
spk_0 and Jesus name, amen.
spk_0 All right, my friends.
spk_0 Next week same time, same place.
spk_0 We shall see you then
spk_0 continue to listen or read God's word.
spk_0 God, bless you.
